Producer Archana Kalpathi has officially announced that the shooting for Simbu's 51st film, tentatively titled ‘STR 51’, will begin in September. Directed by Ramkumar, the film features a star cast including Simbu, Santhanam, and Kayadu Lohar.

Earlier, fans were curious about the timelines for Simbu’s 50th and 51st films as no clear updates were provided. Addressing these questions during a private award function, Archana revealed the reasons behind the delay. The film was initially supposed to be directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. However, due to scheduling conflicts with Simbu, the project got postponed.

Archana said she had insisted that AGS Entertainment should produce this particular story. She assured that the film would be a treat for Simbu fans. The female lead for the movie has already been finalized. Official announcements regarding the project are expected in August, followed by the commencement of shooting in September.

With this, it is now confirmed that ‘STR 51’ will go on floors first, before his 50th film.
