As we all know, Silambarasan's 'AAA' will be released as two parts. It was not the initial idea and the makers decided to make it as two films only after completing major portions of the first part.

STR in his interview to IndiaGlitz explains the reason behind this bold decision.

"When we started the film, content wise it was big. Until recent past films can have running length up to three hours ten minutes. Now it is not possible. We can take only horror films and comedy films. Because they only get U or U/A certificates They make horror films because they run well. They take comedy films because they get U rating. You cannot make horror or comedy films for longer duration.

The time for Intense films like 'Autograph', 'Kadhal' 'Pudupettai', 'Manmadhan' are gone. Today the average running time has shrunk to two hours, 2 hrs 10 minutes or 20 minutes. Right from beginning we had a dilemma whether we can bring this much content within two and half hours After completing the shoot, I watched the film and suggested that it is better to have two parts for the film."

The actor who has played triple roles for the first time in this film also revealed a secret about the sequel. "The second part of the film will be the extension of two chapters in the first part."

The first part of 'AAA' directed by Adhik Ravichandran is scheduled to hit the screens on June 23, 2017 and the director has said the second part will be released within the end of the year.
