Suriya fans turn into real Kaappaans for important social cause

The death of Subashri Ravi a 23 year old techie in Chennai who was killed due to a roadside political banner has raised huge awareness the city and elsewhere to the dangers surrounding it. Suriya during the 'Kaappaan' press meet requested his fans to avoid putting up cutouts and banners and instead use the money for social causes.

The Nellai Suriya fans clubs have taken the word of their hero and have decided to gift 200 helmets to bike riders with the money they have allotted for banners on 'Kaappaan' release date on September 20th. The Tirunelveli Police Commissioner has lauded the Suriya fans on social media. Other clubs too have followed suit with North Madras unit adopting a school and the Thiruttani unit deciding to host a feast for the needy and the Thiruvalloor club planting 1000 tree saplings.

'Kaappaan' directed by K.V. Anand and produced by Lyca Productions has the dream cast of Mohan Lal, Suriya, Arya, Sayyeshaa, Poorna, Samuthirakani and Boman Irani.
