Actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam, has proved her mettle as a director and screenplay-dialogue writer in Tamil films. Soon she will be venturing in to theater as the director of an upcoming English play.

This play will have veteran theater personality Y.G.Mahendra, film actors Prasanna, Thalaivasal Vijay and popular VJ Ramya as its main cast members. The story written by Suhasini for this play has been inspired from a episode of the book 'Thinking on my Feet' penned by her father and Kamal Haasan's elder brother Charu Haasan. He was a leading lawyer before entering film industry as an actor and this book deals with various cases he has argued in the Court.

The play will be staged during the Gollapudi Srinivas Award distribution function to be held in Chennai on August 12, 2016. Suhasini will not be acting in this play.
