Sundar C to appear in court on Monday for 'Aranmanai 2' case

When the super hit film Aranmanai' hit the screens in 2014 producer Muthuraman filed a case against Sundar C alleging that the film is a copy of his 1978 production Aayiram Jenmangal' starring Rajinikanth, Vijayakumar and Latha in the lead roles. The producer had also prayed to stay the release of Aranmanai 2'.

The City Civil Court had directed Sundar C and Muthuraman to work out a compromise and it is said that the two have come to an understanding and a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs have been paid off to the petitioner. Sundar C is expected to appear in the Court complex on the 1st of February to finalize the proceedings.
