Director Sundar.C had last delivered the family entertainer Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven which was the official Tamil remake of 2013 Tollywood blockbuster Attarintiki Daaredhi, and the Tamil version starring Simbu and Megha Akash couldn't quite set the box office on fire and flopped.

Currently Sundar.C is directing an untitled action movie starring his Aambala and Madha Gaja Raja hero Vishal and Tamannaah, and the shooting of this movie is progressing in various locations in Turkey. This movie, also starring Aishwarya Lekshmi is produced by Lyca Productions.

The latest speculations making rounds is that Sundar.C's next project after Vishal's movie will be the third installment of his hit Aranmanai series. While Aranmanai(2014) starred Vinay, Andrea,Hansika and Raai Laxmi, the second part Aranmanai 2 (2016) featured Siddharth,Trisha and Hansika Motwani. The script works for Aranmanai 3 is in progress reportedly, and the official announcement will be made soon.
