Director Sundar C had last directed the Simbu, Megha Akash starrer Vandhaa Rajavathaan Varuven produced by Lyca Productions. Following the movie, he is directing the action packed movie Action, which is produced by Trident Arts and is expected to finish shoot soon.

Action will have Vishal and Tamannaah playing the leads, and Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi will be making her Tamil debut with this movie. The movie is said to be based on terrorism backdrop and will have Kabir Duhan Singh playing a terrorist. Action has music by Hip Hop Thamizha.

Director Sundar C has revealed in a recent interview that immediately after his action he will move on to horror, and start his next movie, the third part of the horror series Aranmanai. While Aranmanai and Aranmanai 2 had Sundar C playing an important role, it is expected that he will play the lead in Aranmanai 3 as well.
