Suniel Shetty injured his leg on the sets of Koyelaanchal

On the sets of Asshu Trikha’s Koyelaanchal, Suniel Shetty got hurt while shooting an action sequence. He refused to use body double and performed the sequence on his own.

On this Asshu says, There’s a scene in the movie where Suniel runs after a moving car and he tried to get hold of the driver in order to stop him. He gets dragged to a point vut he couldn’t hold on, he fell. Sunil was supposed to roll towards camera. But unfortunately he got hurt and was left with a nasty swelling on his leg. Even then Suniel continued shooting the scene till it was approved by me.

Asshu applauded Suniel for carrying on with the shoot even after getting injured . It was quite difficult to execute the scene at night since it was extremely cold. Suniel shot the action scene for three nights consecutively even though he was finding it difficult to walk. Though I suggested him to shoot the scenes three to four days later, he insisted to go as per schedule . He’s 50 plus but he has the strength and willingness to do action all on his own. He’s probably easiest actor to work with and is totally director’s actor. says Asshu

Koyelaanchal is slated for 9th May 2014 release..
