Sunny Kaushal talks about his struggling phase

Just like his elder brother Vicky, Sunny Kaushal has also started to make a name for himself in the film industry. He started his journey in 2011 as an assistant director and managed to foray in the acting field later. Sunny is best known for his roles in the sports drama 'Gold' and Amazon Prime Video's 'The Forgotten Army'. In a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Sunny recalled his initial days and his struggle phase.

"Being an assistant director was a choice. It was a choice because I wanted to learn how the whole filmmaking process happens and then I decided to become an actor," the actor said. Talking about his struggles, he said, "I went through my fair share of struggles and I will go through it till my last breath. It’s nothing unique."

Sunny then went on to recall the tough childhood he had. He shared, "I was born in a 10x10 chawl when dad (action director Sham Kaushal) was a stuntman. Mom was in Punjab and they got married and came here. We were staying in a colony. From there, that was his journey that he has reached till here and earned so much in his life, a lot of respect and everything. Just like that, this is my journey and I am really, really happy that it is going this way."

Sunny Kaushal's next project will be 'Hurdang' where he'll share screen with Nushrratt Bharuccha and Vijay Varma.
