Superstar in BJP? Contrasting reports!

Two days back, Mollywood superstar Mohanlal was in New Delhi to meet with Narendra Modi. The 'Complete Actor' was there to call on the PM ahead of the Global Malayalee Round Table, which Modi has said he will attend. A day after the meeting, Modi tweeted saying that Mohanlal's humility is endearing. His wide range of social service initiatives are commendable and extremely inspiring, the PM said.
Secondly, the actor's NGO is coordinating with an RSS-affiliated organization for the welfare of tribes in Kerala.
All this has given rise to the belief that the BJP loves Mohanlal, who also loves it! So, come 2019, the party will field him from Thiruvananthapuram as Lok Sabha MP, speculative reports have said.
Although Mohanlal is mum on the rumour, some reports have quoted close sources to the actor as saying that he will not join the saffron party. Mohanlal also has filmi commitments, among them a magnum opus on Mahabharatam.
