How has Superstar's 'Baasha' performed in Chennai BO

There is no wonder in Superstar Rajinikanth's new release taking a huge opening and every film of his shatter the previous box office records. But a Rajinikanth film that was 22 years old, was re-released last weekend and has one extraordinary business and proved yet again that Thalaivar is the real 'Baasha' of the Box office.

'Baashaa' the 1995 blockbuster directed by Suresh Krishna was released on March 3, 2017 along with a few other new Tamil and other language films. The film was screened in 14 theaters across Chennai including the main screens in all the properties of SPI Cinemas across the city.

The film had 102 shows screened in its first three days and has achieved a tremendous 85% occupancy. With this 'Baasha' has collected Rs.39,06,210 which according to the Trade sources is "Excellent Opening" for a re-release film.
