Rajinikanth's strong decision about elections and Latha Rajinikanth political entry

Superstar Rajinikanth was all set to enter full fledged politics and announced the same in December 2020 that he will float a party in early January 2021. He then resumed shooting for his movie 'Annaathe' directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures in mid December but in five days work came to a grinding halt due to a few crew members testing positive for coronavirus.

Rajini was then admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad for fluctuations in his blood pressure and the doctors advised that considering his earlier kidney transplant and age he should not indulge in any strenous activity. The legendary actor then anounced that he cannot involve in politics due to his health and said will instead serve the people the best he can from the outside. He also instructed his fan that whoever wished to support other political parties can do so by first resigning from the fan clubs.

Sudhakar the president of the Rajini Makkal Mandram has now issued a statement to the Rajini fans that the Thalaivar has decided not to support any political party for the upcoming TN Assembly Elections 2021. He also made it clear that rumours doing the rounds that Latha Rajinikanth is entering politics is also false and is baseless.
