Rajinikanth is the legendary superstar of Indian cinema, who has been ruling the box office for almost five decades. Fans, media, film fraternity, sports and political personalities showered the veteran with wishes as he turned 72 years old yesterday.

Also, Rajini's 20-year-old movie 'Baba' was re-released on December 10 ahead of his birthday and it got a superb response at the box office. Now, Thalaivar expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards all the people from society, his fans, and well-wishers from the world, who wished him on his birthday through a thanks note. His statement read:
