Superstar Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay are the biggest stars of Tamil cinema. Since 1996, Thalaivar was speculated to be joining politics and he even announced it in 2019. The actor eventually backed off due to his age and health conditions later. Now, Vijay has announced his political entry with his new party at the age of 49.

Rajinikanth, who landed in Chennai today from the shooting of 'Vettaiyan', expressed his comment about Thalapathy Vijay's party while talking to the press. When a reporter asked to say a few words about Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Thalaivar said, "Congralutations. My best wishes to Vijay." A video of the same is doing rounds on the internet.

It is worth mentioning that Rajinikanth talked about Thalapathy Vijay at the Lal Salaam audio launch. He clarified that the 'Kaaka - Kazhugu' story he told at the Jailer audio launch has nothing to do with Vijay and praised Vijay's growth from a small actor to one of the biggest stars in the film industry. On the other hand, Vijay is also an ardent fan of Superstar Rajinikanth.
