Superstar Rajinikanth's political entry has gained an overwhelming reception among his fans and followers. On a celebratory note, his fans in Madurai had arranged for a goat sacrifice coming January 7 in Alagarkoil shrine. 

People for Ethical Treatment of Animals(PETA) has written Rajinikanth to not conduct the ritual at the temple. With regeards to this, the Thalaivar has advised his fans to do the same. However there wil be a grand feast at the temple the same date. 

It's also worth mentioning here that PETA was severely criticised for its opinions during last year's Jallikattu protests.
