Suresh Gopi to reunite with this super hit director

Mollywood superstar Suresh Gopi is riding high on the success of his second innings. While the movie buffs are celebrating every new project of the movie, recently the actor treated his fans by announcing his brand new project. Interestingly, the superstar is reuniting with National Award-winning Malayalam filmmaker Jayaraj for a sequel to their 1995-film ‘Highway’. Billed as a mystery action thriller, the upcoming project will be produced by Leema Jospeh. Sharing the poster of ‘Highway 2- The Untitled’ on his social media handle, Suresh Gopi also mentioned that the shoot for the movie will begin soon. More details regarding the project are awaited.
The 1995 film Highway revolved around the story is a RAW officer who goes on to investigate a bomb blast that killed 30 college students. Apart from Suresh Gopi, the film also starred Bhanupriya, Biju Menon, Vijayaraghavan and Janardhanan in supporting roles. As Suresh Gopi had a mass fan following in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh in the 1990s and even now, the film is popular among the Tamil and Telugu audiences as well. Apart from Highway. Jayaraj and Suresh Gopi have worked together in many films such as ‘Ashwaroodan’, ‘Makalkku’, ‘Paithrukam’, and ‘Kaliyattam’. As all their previous collaborations were super hits, the audience has pinned high hopes on the upcoming project.
