Is Suriya playing dual roles in Vetrimaarans Vaadivaasal?

There is huge expectations for Suriya's upcoming movie 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara and even higher for 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran.  Initially, the plans to start the shooting of the rural thriller was after Suriya finishes 'Aruvaa' directed by Hari.  But now it is said that due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown woes the Vetrimaaran project could take priority though the official word is not out yet.  The film has music score by GVP and is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.

It is well known that 'Vaadivaasal' is based on the bull-taming culture Jallikattu that is prevalent in South Tamil Nadu.    A source meanwhile has informed us that a part of the storyline involves that Suriya would tame a bull that his father had lost his life trying.

According to the source there is a possibility of Suriya playing dual roles as the father and son while Sarathkumar and Rajkiran are also under consideration.  We will have to wait and see which side the scale tips in this regard and there is a lot of time for that too as in all probability the film would go on floors only in early 2021.
