Suriya felicitated for 'Kaappaan'

Suriya's 'Kappaan' directed by K.V. Anand and costarring Mohan Lal and Arya released last week and received mixed to negative reviews from critics. But according to producer Lyca Productions, the film has taken the best opening for Suriya in his career.
On Thursday P.R. Pandian and important members of the Tamil Nadu Cauvery Delta Farmers Association met Suriya and K.V. Anand and felicitated them by gifting them green shawls. Pandian stated that many movies had come before speaking about politics, police and other issues but it is 'Kaappaan' that has captured the plight of the Tamil Nadu farmers to perfection.
