Suriya and Karthi donate to FEFSI workers during coronavirus lockdown

Suriya, Karthi and their dad Sivakumar are known for their philanthropist activities running the Agaram Foundation to help underprivileged students to go for higher studies and the Uzhavan Foundation that goes to the aid of the farmers. The socially conscious family have donated rupees ten lakhs to the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) to aid the thousands of employees who have lost work due to the coronavirus.

The coronavirus pandemic that has shaken the entire globe with 341,400 infections and 14,746 deaths has forced governments to shut down international flights and other travel modes. In Tamil Nadu, there is a lockdown in Chennai and other districts till March 31st but the resumption of normal life including the film-related could take more than that and the Suriya- Karthi family's help could go a long way to help the workers dependent on it for livelihood.

Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' release is affected while his 'Aruvaa' and a couple of production ventures have been stalled due to the coronavirus while Karthi's 'Sultan' and 'Ponniyin Selvan' are also in stop mode
