Suriya-Karthi donate Rs 1 Cr to CMRF

Actors Suriya and Karthi on Wednesday called on MK Stalin, the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, along with their father Sivakumar. The trio gave Rs 1 Cr to the Chief Minister's Relief fund towards battling Covid-19.

This is not Suriya's first contribution. Last year, the actor made a donation of Rs 5 Cr to the Kollywood industry in March. The 'Ghajini' actor also donated a total sum of Rs 1.5 Cr to FEFSI and other industry bodies later. 

Karthi, too, made a donation when the first wave of coronavirus hit last year. 

Suriya was last year seen in 'Soorarai Pottru'. Karthi this year had a release in the shape of 'Sulthan'.
