Suriya makes appeal to angry fans

Suriya's fans lost their cool when two female VJs the other day poked fun at the actor's height. The body-shaming is condemnable, but sections of the actor's fans reportedly threatened and abused the VJs for "insulting" their icon.
Today, as fans resorted to protests in front of the concerned television channel's building in Chennai, there was a sense of unease. Breaking his silence at the right moment, Suriya has shared a message on his social page, urging his fans to show restraint.
He encouraged the fans to not waste their precious time in such trivialities. He urged his fans to spend their time and energies on productive purposes that benefit society.
