Suriya signs new movie with talented young director

Suriya has completed his next movie 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara which is slated for release on Pongal 2020. His next film is to be directed by Hari with whom it will be his sixth after the 'Singam' series, 'Aaru' and 'Vel'. The dedicated star actor has been busy listening to scripts from top directors such as Bala and Vettrimaaran and is likely to work with them in the near future. Now it has come to light that Suriya has given his nod to young director Ravikumar of 'Indru Nettru Naalai' fame for producer S.R. Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures and the pre-production work has been kickstarted.
Ravikumar started a Scifi film with Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead and fifty percent of the shooting was completed. But unfortunately, the film got stuck in financial problems and is likely to be revived only in mid 2020. In all likelihood Ravikumar is expected to start the Suriya film as early as February 2020 and is likely to be shot simultaneously with the Hari film.
