Suriya to team up with blockbuster hit Telugu director next?

The coronavirus pandemic has caused many changes in the plans of all the top Kollywood heroes. Suriya who almost started shooting for 'Aruvaa' directed by Hari before the lockdown happened in late March has pushed the project back and instead has decided to give preference to other projects.

According to our inside sources after the lockdown ends probably early next year Suriya is likely to shoot for a new movie directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures. He will also play a supporting role in a movie produced by him and directed by Gnanavel of 'Kootathil Oruvan' fame.

Suriya will then move on to 'Vaadivasal' directed by Vetrimaaran and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu in the middle or later part of 2021. Now the buzz is that the hardworking and philanthropic star has given his nod for a Tamil/Telugu bilingual to be directed by ace Tollywood director Trivikram Srinivas who is fresh from the mega-blockbuster 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde.

A few years back itself a Suriya-Trivikram project reached the pre-production stage but never took off but now it is said that the director has used the time gained in the lockdown to complete a bound script and talks are said to have begun for the revival. We have to wait and watch how this one goes.

Meanwhile, Suriya's next release of course is 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara and costarring Aparna Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Jackie Shroff and Paresh Rawal.
