Suriya's '24' crosses one lakh even before its release

As we had reported earlier actor Suriya's '24' which has released on a huge scale across the world today had its special premiers shows in USA and Canada on the eve of the release date (May 6). Cine Galaxy released the film in these two North American nations. The film's lead star and producer Suriya took part int he USA premiere along with his wife Jyothika.
Now we learn that the Vikram Kumar directorial has collected more than one lakh dollars form the premiere shows itself. According to reliable sources the mega budger sci-fi flick '24' has collected $164345 from these two special shows alone.
This stands testimony to the phenomenal pre-release expectations over the film among Tamil movie buffs living across the globe. As the film has released today and it has been getting positive reviews from all corners, we can expect '24' to touch the one million mark in US box office very soon.
The recent summer big release 'Theri' of Ilayathalapathy Vijay which was also released by Cine Galaxy in US and Canada has made record collections in both the countries.
