Actor Suriya is ready with his next movie Soorarai Pottru, which is based on the life of former army captain and founder of Air Deccan, GR Gopinath, and this movie directed by Irudhi Suttru Sudha Kongara is produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment.

Soorarai Pottru has Suriya playing a character named Nedumaran Rajangam and also stars Aparna Balamurali who had acted in 8 Thottakkal and Sarvam Thaala Mayam, Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal,Telugu actor Mohan Babu, Kaali Venkat and Karunas and has music by GV Prakash.

The team had released Maara Theme earlier, and next the Veyyon Silli single is planned to be released on February 13, and the latest update is that Soorarai Pottru team has planned the audio launch in a grand manner in Chennai International Aiport, Meenambakkam, and an official announcement is expected soon. If this turns out to be official, this will be the first time a Tamil film's audio launch is held in an airport.
