Actor Suriya had given two releases this year with the political entertainer NGK directed by Selvaraghavan and the action entertainer Kaappaan directed by KV Anand. Next the actor has completed his 38th movie Soorarai Pottru which had its first look released recently.

Directed by Sudha Kongara who had directed Irudhi Suttru earlier, Soorarai Pottru also stars Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and Mohan Babu in important roles, and has music by GV Prakash. The movie was recently announced to be planned as Summer 2020 release.

Now it has been revealed in the audio release of Karthi's Thambi that the teaser of Soorarai Potttru will be released on Pongal 2020. Soorarai Pottru is said to be based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, and will have Suriya playing a character named Nedumaran aka Maara.
