Actor Suriya has teamed up with director Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame, after the Selvaraghavan directorial NGK and KV Anand directorial Kaappaan, and the team had launched the movie this week and started shooting as well.

Produced by Suriya himself in his 2D Entertainment banner in association with Oscar winner Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment, the movie is said to be the biopic of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, and the movie will have Aparna Balamurali of 8 Thottakal and Sarvam Thaala Mayam fame as the female lead.

Now the title of the movie has been officially announced as Soorarai Pottru. The movie will have music composed by GV Prakash, and cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy. Suriya is expected to sport multiple different looks in this exciting movie.
