The much-awaited film Retro, starring Suriya and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is set to hit theaters worldwide on May 1, coinciding with Labor Day. The film’s production has wrapped up, and final technical work is currently in progress.

Marking a special occasion, Suriya’s production company, 2D Entertainment, released an exclusive 55-second video today in celebration of director Karthik Subbaraj’s birthday. The video, shared on social media, features key moments from the film, high-octane action sequences starring Suriya, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of Subbaraj directing the team. The clip concludes with a heartfelt birthday message for the filmmaker.

Retro stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, alongside Joju George, Jayaram, and Karunakaran in pivotal roles. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with production jointly handled by 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films.
