Suriya's success in Tollywood

Titles have a lot to do with a film, proves history. If Houseful theatre run was really envious and Ghilli’s success was truly everywhere, ‘Ayan’ substantiates this belief.

Implying the all powerful one, the Suriya-Tamannah starrer has had an unparalleled success in Tamil and has been running to packed houses even almost a month following its release.

And as if that’s not enough, the movie has turned out to be blockbuster in Telugu as well, where it has been released as 'Veedu Okadey'. Having successfully crossed 150 days in Telugu as well, this film has established not just Tamannah, but also Suriya as a big hero in Tollywood. In fact, reports have it that the actor was mobbed at the movie’s Telugu premiere, which he attended in Hyderabad.

It may be recalled that Suriya’s ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ too, was released in Telugu as ‘Suriya, S/O Krishnan’. ‘Ayan’ may have been released in Telugu owing to Tamannah’s popularity, but with his film, Suriya seems to have struck gold in Tollywood too.
