Maharaja was a blockbuster Kannada movie released last year.
The movie starring Sudeep was a romantic entertainer and saw a silver jubilee run in Karnataka.
Now efforts are on to remake the movie in Tamil. A popular production company here has approached Surya to play the lead role in the remake.
