Days after telling a Telugu daily that he has been hurt by the reckless rumours about him and his family post the death of his brother Bharat, Ravi Teja has spoken to the media for the first time.

"For the sake of hits, they are writing without a care in the world. I have already conveyed why we couldn't attend the last rites. We couldn't see Bharat's mutilated body. We couldn't bear the pain. We want to remember him as a happy face for ever," an emotional Ravi Teja said.

"Before writing something, please think about the consequences. I am not finding fault with all of the media. Some of them said that I enlisted a junior artiste to perform the rites. He is actually my 'Chinnanna'. Do they even care how devastated we are?" Ravi Teja said.

When a scribe asked Ravi Teja about participating in a film shoot even after his brother's death, the actor said that it was a combination scene consisting of 25 artistes. "I think you know how difficult it is to plan such a scene again if it's not shot as per schedule," he said.
