Amidst girls from Kerala making hay in Tamil filmdom, Lakshmi Rai, the girl from Karnataka, is trying desperate to establish a career here.

After a decent debut in Karka Kasa Dara, this actress oozed glamour all through in her next Kundaka Mandaka acting opposite Parthiban.

Is glamour going to be her cup of tea?

Yes, what's wrong, is the reply from the tall lass. Lakshmi Rai, however, adds, 'but it should not be a mere skin show.'

‘In the beginning no doubt glamour helps one to get noted. After establishing myself, I would venture to do roles that will allow me to perform. In the actor-driven industry, I consider glamour an integral part of the industry'.

Lakshmi Rai sure knows a thing or two to survive.
