Actress Tamannaah who was last seen in the horror comedy Devi 2, is now shooting for another horror comedy, Petromax. Directed by Rohin Venkatesan known for making his debut with the Kalaiyarasan, Sshivada starrer Athe Kangal, this movie is produced by Eagle's eye productions.

Petromax was recently censored U/A, and while initially it was said that the movie will join the Diwali race, now it has been made official that the movie will release on October 11, clashing with two other horror movies, Siddharth starrer Aruvam and Sundar C starrer Iruttu.

Petromax is the official remake of Telugu hit Anando Brahma which had Taapsee playing the lead role, and the Tamil version also stars Yogi Babu, Mansoor Ali Khan, Kaali Venkat, Sathyan and many others. The movie has music by Ghibran.
