Mammootty has acted in a Tamil movie this year titled Peranbu`. It is directed by the acclaimed director in Kollywood Ram. It is now reported that the makers have scheduled it to release February next year. Actress Anjali is the female lead of the film. The film discusses the relationship between a father and daughter.

The latest update is that Megastar Mammootty has advised the makers to bring out a Malayalam version of this movie. He had told them that the story matches to the sensibilities of Malayalam audience and a dubbed Malayalam version will be a good idea. Suraj Venjarammoodu is doing an important role in this film.
