Producer Council waves the green flag for Sep.4 releases

In a sudden change of events the Tamil Film Producers Council has revoked its order stalling the release of new Tamil films from September 4, 2015 which would have affected the release of Vishal`s Paayum Puli, Ashok Selvan`s Savale Samali` and dance choreographer Sridhar`s acting debut Pokkiri Mannan`.

An official announcement from the TFPC sates, "Considering the requests from all association, all the films will be released on 4th September. A disciplinary action will be jointly taken for whoever creates trouble for these releases."

Not sparring the distributors and theatre owners who were allegedly threatening to stall the release of Paayum Puli` to extort money from its producer Vendhar Movies, the Producer Council office bearers said, "We are consistently getting threatened by Chengalpet theaters for which we are discussing about plan of action. So that brings the curtains down for the last moment tense drama over the release of the films and those who have booked their tickets for Paayum Puli`, Savale Samali` and Pokkiri Mannan` can happily go ahead with their plans.
