A rupee from every movie ticket for Farmers

A grand function to swear in the new office-bearers of Tamil Film Producers Council was conducted in Sri Raghavendra Hall, Chennai on Thursday (April 5). Vishal who has won the elections will be the new President of the Council.
Apart from various schemes to sort out the problems in film industry and increase the revenue for producers. the new team which has taken over the administration of the Producers' body has chalked out a praiseworthy plan to offer financial support to the farmers of Tamil Nadu who are struggling to run their lives.
"As of now the burning issue is Farmers issue. We wanted to do something more than just giving vocal support. Starting from a particular date which we are yet to decide,, Re.1 from the price of every movie ticket in Tamil Nadu will be donated to farmers on behalf of Tamil Nadu Farmers. I thank the new Executive Council Members and Office-bearers to have taken this decision. I don't know how many crores the total amount will run to. But we will support the struggling farmers all around Tamil Nadu and those protesting in New Delhi."
