COVID 19 Official updates - Chennai sees big rise again while rest of TN slowing down

Today's official updates on the novel coronavirus pandemic from Tamil Nadu has seen 52 new cases testing positive in the past 24 hours out of which 47 are Chennai residents, 4 from Madurai and one from Vilupuram. The rest of the 34 districts has not reported a single case and the other good news is that there was no death also with the toll remaining at 24. 81 persons have recovered and have been discharged today taking the total number to 1101 which is another positive.
With this new data 1937 is the total number of COVID 19 patients in Tamil Nadu so far with Chennai accounting for 570 of them. The rest of the districts are well below that with Coimbatore having 141 and the others below 100.
The phase two lockdown that the Central and State governments enforced is ending in a week's time on May 3rd and with the current trend it remains to be seen if there will be any relaxation or will it continue in the same breath.
