The Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Beela Rajesh has given the official update that 96 new patients have tested positive for coronavirus in the state out of whom 84 are from the single source event which is the major contributor so far. The total number of cases in TN has now increased to 834. 27 have recovered with 8 deaths so far and none reported today.
59918 persons are under home quarantine and 7267 tested so far. Yesterday only 48 new cases were positive which was encouraging but today the number has once again doubled exactly.
