The incident of TN Governor patting the cheek of  a female journalist stoked heavy controversy. After severe condemantion from political parties, journalists and the general public, the governor had now sent a letter to the concerned journalist along with an apology.

Governor Purohit stated that he patted the cheek as way of showing his appreciation to the journalist who had asked a good question. “I wish to express my regrets and apologies to assuage your sentiments that have been hurt,” he stated in his letter.

Lakshmi Subramanian after accepting the governor’s apologies has stated that she was not convinced about the governor’s contention that he did it to appreciate a question that she asked. Watch this space for more updates.
