Tamil title of Dhanush’s Bollywood film ‘Atrangi Re’ revealed

Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Raanjhanaa’, will be making an appearance in the industry yet again with the film ‘Atrangi Re’ co-starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. Aanand L Rai, who directed Dhanush in Raanjhanaa, has helmed Atrangi Re as well.
The film was initially slated for release on the occasion of Valentine’s Day on February 14 this year, but was indefinitely pushed due to post-production delays owing to the Covid-19 pandemic in the country. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar revealed in an interview in late September that the producers of Atrangi Re were considering a direct OTT release of the film. The movie, which would most likely be streamed on Netflix, will have a Tamil dubbed version as well, owing to Dhanush’s massive fan base in the state.
The most recent update is that the Tamil version of ‘Atrangi Re’ has been titled ‘Galatta Kalyanam.’ Dhanush, who wrapped up the shooting for his portions of the film in December, recently completed his Tamil dubbing for the movie too. The story of the romantic comedy has been written by Himanshu Sharma, while the movie has music composed by AR Rahman.
