Tapsee goes traditional in Manchu's film

Watch out for Tapsee Pannu in Lakshmi Manchu's just-launched Gundello Godari. She is playing a traditional girl for the first time in her career. Sharing screen space with Aadi, Sundeep Kishan and Lakshmi herself, the movie is set in the pastoral backdrop.

Directed by Kumar Nagendra, the film is music-directed by Illayaraja. Coming to the thematic backdrop of Gundello Godari, it is reported that the movie has the fearsome 1986 Godavari floods as one of its main points. The film is being shot in a Rajahmundry village.

Scheduled to release in this summer, the movie is made by Lakshmi with much prestige. It seems she has great hopes pinned on the movie, whose strength, it seems, is its story. That Illayaraja is belting out the tunes only adds to the aura around the film.

Tapsee Pannu was seen in a meaningful role in Jhummandi Nadam. In films like Mr. Perfect and Mogudu, she was seen in modern outfits. Looks like she has come a full circle with Gundello Godari.
