Teaser of Mammootty-Manju Warrier's 'The Priest' goes VIRAL

It was on Friday, the teaser of Mammootty's upcoming Malayalam film The Priest was released on social media. Featuring the lead stars Mammootty and Manju Warrier in a never seen avatar, the teaser of the supernatural thriller impressed the movie buffs and has set social media on fire.
Directed by newcomer Jofin T. Chacko, from a script written by Shyam Menon and Deepu Pradeep, the teaser is winning praises for its technical excellence and the haunting background score. The gripping dark thriller, which marks the maiden collaboration of Mammootty and Manju Warrier, also stars Nikhila Vimal, Sreenath Bhasi, Saniya Iyappan, and Jagadish.
The movie was supposed to hit the screens in 2020. However, the lockdown imposed due to Covid-19 pandemic delayed the film's production. The film is currently in the post-production stage. Initially, the team was planning to release the film on a popular OTT platform.
However, now as the theatres in Kerala have reopened, the makers are expected to announce the release date soon.
