'Tees Maar Khan' waits for 'Action Replayy' to arrive

Typically, promotion of a big film takes place for close to three months duration. However, the makers of 'Tees Maar Khan' would be holding on to it's television promotion till the release of 'Action Replayy', reason being that both the films have Akshay Kumar as the central protagonist.

Says a trade observer, This is a good decision indeed. Not just it saves Akshay from promoting both the films together, it also ensures that audience is not confused due to promos of two biggies running together. Of course the look of both 'Action Replayy' and 'Tees Maar Khan' is totally different. While the former is set in 70s with time travel as its theme, latter is far flashier and topical. Still, it is always the best case scenario for an actor to not just have his films spaced out but also the promotion.

Quiz Shirish Kunder, producer of 'Tees Maar Khan', about the decision and he confirms, We are happy with a promotional plan of 6-8 weeks. In a Farah Khan film, there can be enough 'masala' to keep the zing going week after week so this is a good enough duration. It was all agreed in an amicable manner. We will start only after the release of 'Action Replayy' (on 5th November). There is no point eating into its promotional window of 'Action Replayy'.

'Tees Maar Khan' releases all over on 24th December.
