Two young TV actresses arrested for robbing a woman

It has been reported that police have arrested two television actresses in a robbery case this week. Accordingly, the actresses named Surabhi Surendra Lal Srivastava (25) and Mosina Mukhtar Sheikh (19) stole at least Rs 3 lakh from a paying guest at a Mumbai facility,

It is said that the actresses began to face financial difficulties as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, which caused filming across Mumbai to be halted. The women had then moved into the said paying guest facility in Goregaon, Mumbai's Aarey Colony. They were reportedly living with a few other people as paying guests. One paying guest at the facility reported that nearly Rs 3.28 lakh was stolen and eventually filed a police complaint at the Aarey Police Station.

She suspected Surabhi and Mosina of being involved in the robbery and during the investigation, the police obtained CCTV footage showing both actresses fleeing the property with the money. The cops confronted the actresses, who had previously appeared in TV shows such as Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol, and they confessed to the crime.

Cops recovered Rs 50,000 from the stolen money. Surabhi and Mosina were both brought before the court and remanded in police custody until June 23.
