In a landmark decision, the Telugu Film Chamber has officially declared February 6th as the annual "Telugu Film Industry Birthday," a day dedicated to celebrating the legacy and contributions of Tollywood. This initiative aims to honor the rich history of Telugu cinema while recognizing the efforts of film personalities by giving them awards.
As part of the celebrations, the Chamber has decided to present annual awards to deserving artists and technicians in collaboration with the government. These awards will serve as a prestigious acknowledgment of talent and dedication within the industry.
Another unique aspect of the celebration will be the hoisting of a specially designed "Telugu Cinema Birthday" flag at the residences of film actors and theaters across the state.
Renowned writer Parichuri Gopalakrishna has been entrusted with the responsibility of designing this flag, ensuring it represents the pride and essence of Telugu cinema.
The event saw the presence of several distinguished personalities, including senior actor Murali Mohan, writer Parichuri Gopalakrishna, Film Chamber President Bharat Bhushan, Secretary Prasanna Kumar, Directors Association President Veera Shankar, and writer-journalist Rentala Jayadev, among others.
