This one has been an awaited combination. NTR, Puri and Anup come together to deliver a much-awaited album. Do they reach our expectations?
With lyrics being the best part of the album, it has a range of singers and lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla and Vishwa. On the face of it, it is targeted at the masses.
Choolenge Asma
Artists: Adnan Sami, Ramya Behara, Veena Ghantasala
Lyricist: Vishwa
It's Anup Rubens all over. His imprint is all over this song, something that sounds like a rip-off. Anup makes the most of the formidable singing talent in Adnan Sami, so much so you will look forward to a sensational hit, given that NTR Jr. is the male lead here. Ramya Behara and Veena Ghantasala complement the talent of Adnan. Vishwa's meaningful lyrics add value. All in all, a good beginning.
Temper
Artists: Uma Neha, MLR.Karthikeyan, Bhargavi Pillai, Simha
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla
Bhaskarabhatla is at his irreverent best here. The allegedly low-brow slang language does sound a bit less than glorious, but as the song moves into a creative zone as it progresses. It's Anup Rubens-meets-Thaman, so to speak. The beats are quite likely to raise the roof. Uma Neha, MLR, Bhargavi Pillai and Simha make their mark felt, the most of it by the first singer. What is a Puri Jagannadh movie without the familiar low brow slang, something that is now customary in his movies?
Devudaa

Lyricist : Bhaskarabhatla
So, our Young Tiger presumably plays an Ek Niranjan here? Be that as it may, the reference to the divine is vintage Bhaskarabhatla. It is also peppered with a little bit of pop philosophy. Anup Rubens renders this song to a deja vu effect, but that is not all. The music is electrifying, but there is nothing innovative about the track. It's enjoyable and worthy of attention for the reason that it is conceptualized well.
One more time
Artists : Ranjith, Lipsika
Lyricist : Kandhikonda
This number has perhaps the best vocals of the album. Both Ranjith and Lipsika croon Kandhikonda's catchy lyrics to a terrific effect. Ranjith's sharp vocals are contrasted by Lipsika's soft vocals. Anup goes minimalist here and renders a pretty hummable song. Kandhikonda's lyrics are simple yet evocative. The romantic duet is sure to be on the chartbusters, as it is away form the humdrum.
Ittage Recchipodham
Artists : Geetha Madhuri
Lyricist : Bhaskarabhatla
Geetha Madhuri's putative vocals with a distinct mass flavour are here to redeem an otherwise ordinary number. She gets the highs and lows and variations all right. Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics walk the tight rope walk quite well. The item number is replete with hummable music if not hummable wordings. Anup gets it reasonably well, though not as electrifying as a DSP would have.
Temper Theme
Artists : Hymanth, Arun, Anudeep, Dhanunjay
Rap : Rahul
This one doesn't sound like a ritualistically made theme song. Hymanth, Arun, Anudeep and Dhanunjay deliver a dekko. Anup might have thought that he was playing music for a Ram Gopal Varma movie. The rap by Rahul passes muster.
Verdict: This album is a cross between Anup and Puri Jagannadh. With all the thematic variety, this one deserves praise.
