'Sreekaram', which will hit the screens on March 11, is rumouredly about how the male lead makes farming a lucrative proposition in a village. He is apparently inspired by his father's vision in doing so. The teaser of the film is attuned to this theme.

Writer Sai Madhav Burra, addressing the criticism that the film may only be a thematic copy of 'Maharshi', has said that the tenor of the Sharwanand-starrer is not the same as that of the Mahesh Babu movie. There is a farmer in all of us because at least one of our ancestors was a farmer. Farming-based movies are more commercial than others, considering that most of such movies have raked in moolah at the box-office over the years. So many movies have dealt with agriculture. And it shouldn't prevent others from repeating the theme, Burra, who is currently penning lines for Rajamouli's 'RRR' and the Pawan Kalyan-Krish period drama, said.

Directed by Kishore B, 'Sreekaram' has got melodies from Mickey J Meyer. A family entertainer, too, it has 'Gang Leader' fame Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead.
