Teri Copland wrote a Facebook post about her 7-year-old son, Jase, who had asked her if he could send a note to his late father, James Hyndman, via the Royal Mail, a British courier company.

With Christmas around the corner, courier companies would be receiving hundreds of letters from kids, to be delivered to the North Pole. But the amusing note to ‘Dad in heaven’ took them by surprise, prodding them to respond to it.

“Mr. Postman,” the handwritten envelope read. “Can you please take this to heaven for my dad's birthday, thanks.”

Sean Milligan, an Assistant Office Manager at the Royal Mail, responded to it saying that the letter he sent to his father had, in fact, been delivered. “Royal Mail's priority is to get our customers' mail delivered safely,” the note said. “I know how important your mail is to you. I will continue to do all I can to ensure delivery to heaven safely.”

Copland immediately took to Facebook to express her gratitude over the thoughtful gesture by the courier company, mentioning that her “faith in humanity” had been restored.
