Mersal producer Murali Ramasamy defeats T Rajendar and wins TFPC elections!

The Tamil film producers council which was previously headed by actor Vishal, had its elections held yesterday in Chennai and now the results of the election have been declared.

This election was scheduled after the tenure of the previous leadership headed by Vishal ended last year, and had actor, director and producer T Rajendar and producer Murali Ramasamy competing against each other.

Now it has been made official that Producer Murali Ramasamy of Thenandal Studios which has produced movies like Vijay's Mersal has won the election and has been elected as the new president of TFPC. Murali Ramasamy secured 557 votes and T Rajendar secured 337 votes in the election.
