Here comes something that no one in the film fraternity foresaw as K.E Gnanavelraja of Studio Green has resigned as the General Secretary of the Tamil Film Poducers Council.  He has stated that his decision came as he wanted to contest for the President's post in the upcoming Chennai & Chengalput Distributors Association.

Gnanavelraj one of the leading producers and distributors of Kollywood is a cousin of premier stars Suriya and Karthi and had contested in the TFPC on Vishal's side and won.  How this turn of events will be taken by Vishal and co remains to be seen.
